History
Beauty & Education was launched in 1992. That time we opened the first beauty salon called Dáša in Kmeťková Street in Nitra. At the beginning, we started with an oriental depilation. We were using previous knowledge and experience from health care. Later, we attended retraining programme for cosmeticians in Prague organised by company Artiris. Within rising qualification, we were able to supply our customers with another services such as hairdressing, cosmetics, manicure, pedicure and beauty consulting.
Our clients come not only for beauty service, but also turn to us for advice. Generally, many diseases are accompanied with skin problems. Mostly, it is not a matter of physical disorder but has got psychical reasons.
Health care experience helped us to diagnose these reasons at the very beginning and provide our clients with suitable treatment. Skin problems are in many cases symptoms indicating psychical lability. Our clients appreciate professional approach and empathy, they receive. They tend to confess personal problems and consult them with us. Because of, we respect Hypocratus statements, confidentiality and personal data protection is guaranteed.
During our existence, we meet a lot of customers complaining about low quality service and inconvenient treatment at another beauty salons. In order to avoid similar problems, we keep on an adequate treatment and high-level service.
I initiated the idea of gradual improvement because of previous experience. I studied Pedagogy at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra in 1994. After my graduation, I asked Ministry of Education for Beauty & Education accreditation. We are fully accredited in following branches:
- cosmetician
- hairdresser
- beauty consulting
- manicure
- pedicure
- care assistant
- English language for care assistant
- German language for care assistant
Beauty & Education opened a private school for further education also accredited by Ministry of Education of the Slovak republic.
All retraining programmes are divided into theoretical preparation and self-experience. The length depends on particular discipline.
Courses are finished with the final exam consisting of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part is divided into a written and oral exam. After passing a written part, an applicant takes the oral exam. Successful applicants achieve certificate in particular discipline.
We had been invited to the USA (Chicago), where we took part in International competition organised by International Club Evitas on 15th September 1998. We were awarded a prize for cosmetics, make up, fashion photography, movies and modelling.
Through this competition, we gained new experience and skills. As well as in Slovakia, we promoted our main business policy: "To search key into a personality of each client, keep it and point out its own beauty". We believe in traditional and verified procedures, which we implement into the services to fulfil all client expectations.
Moreover, the whole event inspired me to learn a new language. I understood that language skills (English) are necessary for the next professional development. Therefore, I attended International language course in Great Britain (Bristol) and Malta. Then, I decided to study English language at UKF in Nitra (Faculty of foreign languages,2002). In 2006, I achieved doctoral in Pedagogy, title PeadDr.
